Dr. Mahendra Kanojia currently serves as the Principal and Head of the Department of Computer Science at Sheth L.U.J. and Sir M.V. College, Mumbai. With over 17 years of experience in higher education, he combines institutional leadership with a deep technical background in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

A dedicated academician, Dr. Kanojia holds significant responsibilities at the university level. He was designated as the Chair of the Examination for M.Sc.I.T. at IDOL, University of Mumbai. He has extensively served on the B.Sc. Computer Science Examination Committees as a board member, paper setter, moderator, inspector, and examiner for both theory and practicals. Furthermore, he contributes to curriculum governance as a Member and Vice-Chancellor’s Nominee on the Board of Studies for various autonomous colleges.

In the realm of research, Dr. Kanojia specializes in Machine Learning and Deep Learning for healthcare, specifically focusing on breast cancer detection using histopathological images. He is a proven researcher with a consistent and impactful publication record in reputed international journals and conferences. Recognized for his expertise, he has served as a reviewer and technical Program Committee member for various international conferences, including NaBIC and ISDA. He continues to mentor graduates, postgraduate and Ph.D. students in emerging technologies like Chatbots, NLP, and Predictive Analytics.
